Since the 1500s when the town was a base for pirates preying on Spanish galleons loaded with gold, Cabo San Lucas has had a colorful history. Today, Cabo continues to lure people with a host of art and musical events in addition to traditional festivals.
Carnival
Cabo's Carnaval is a joyous celebration of feasting, drinking, music and dancing in the streets before the sober fasting period of the Catholic Lent.

Festival of St James
A Roman Catholic Festival, celebrating St. James the Apostle and featuring white horses with costumed riders, along with various reenactments around the town square in the heart of downtown Cabo San Lucas.
